METCON: Metabolic Conditioning
METCON is just a fancy way of saying metabolic conditioning. Adding metabolic conditioning to your program is a great way to ignite fat loss and get lean! METCON encourages fat oxidation, reduces appetite even, and increases muscular adaptations. The goal of METCON is to sustain a high effort over a short amount of time. BUT, you know what I always say. Quality over quantity, so while we push hard over the next month, stay focused on the form to avoid injuries and ultimately have greater energy output with quality work. It’s also important to know that METCON is often misused. It does NOT mean crushing your body every single workout is the way to get lean. This actually couldn’t be further from the truth. So stick with me as we explore in more detail over the month what METCON is and how we can use it for greater fat loss.
